Non Principal Private Residence Online Payment System - The Local Government (Charges) Act 2009 introduced a €200 annual charge on non principal private residences, payable by the owners to the local authority in whose area the property concerned is located.

Apply online for a Tax Clearance Certificate. Anyone whose tax affairs are in order can apply, but the need to produce these certificates usually arises in the context of a person seeking State money, (e.g. Government contracts or grants), or obtaining licences, (e.g. excise licence or road transport licence), but can also arise in other cases e.g. politicians.
